'1000 Hit's' Day approaches

I have nearly had 1000 hits on my blog (and no, Peter they are not all me!)

So, I have decided to have a competition to celebrate.

  • To enter you have to post a message between now and when I reach 1000 hit's (which will probably be at the weekend)

  • When a 1000 hit's has been reached I will randomly pick a winner, email you and send you a prize.

So, just comment on a post that has caught your eye and I'll send you a message if you are the winner of a knitted crafty prize.

Kitten's Can't Knit

I have tried to teach them.

At first they were keen.

But they get bored very easily.

Kitten's can't knit!

Fuzzy Kids

Swapped my kids for fuzzy felt ones, it's great as you can rearrange them when ever you want!

The Knitted Card

Finally finished some knitted cards for the Fish Gallery.

Wash Cloths

I have been meaning to have a go at knitting wash cloths for ages.

This is my first attempt, I am not very good at following patterns, even if it only has 4 rows to it.

Started another which only has two rows:
1st row Knit,
2nd K1, P1 repeat to end.
Repeat these two rows until required length.

How Green is your Craft?

How green is your wool? I try and buy food which is organic and has low air miles, I have stopped buying new clothes but what about the things I craft with?
I have come across a very interesting article on the sew green site. A lot of the stuff I use is recycled; I search charity shops for yarn and needles and I have pulled apart jumpers for the yarn (I like the idea of making something and putting a label on it saying 'I used to be a jumper') but I think I will be trying to do more crafty recyling in the future.

Knitted Needle Book

I didn't really know what a needle book was when I started to make this.

But after a bit for research I think I got it right.

I really enjoyed making this, my blanket stitch is a bit wonky, but it looks ok.
I might make another one for me.

Top Swaps

It's been a busy swap time.
Recieved these fantastic coasters from a 'tea and coaster swap'

Knitted Chicken III was sent to Juli in Jacksonville as part of a private swap.

And I have started making a bag for a 'Mystery Bag Swap'.
